James' Focus

James brought his ST170 powered Focus to us after experiencing somewhat 'poor' service from another tuning garage.

He had already fitted throttle bodies, and all that the car needed was managmanet, and mapping to see a healthy (what we get anyway) 200BHP from the ST engine...

After spending £3,400 with this other company, having an OMEX600 ECU fitted and mapped, the ar drove away with terrbile wiring, and 136BHP@Fly.... something was wrong.

After bringing it to us we carried out a compression test and found that all the cylinders varied, and that all were particularly low. Needless to say, this engine had to go!

We reccomened one of our Zetec 170 engine packages, and with James' consent we fitted and mapped the new engine, mating it to the ST170 6-Speed Box.

james has now taken the car, and is currently running the engine in before we undertake full power tuning, and the fitment of some SuperSport cams.

Update

After running the engine in, James decided on the fitment of cams and a remap, we are pleased to say we made 192bhp from the trust Zetec Blacktop, and coupled with the ST170 gearbox makes for an exciting, if not nervey drive!
